AMO 7297 Mil Mi-3 ambulance

Mil Mi-1 became (he first serial helicopter in the USSR. The helicopter made its first lift-off in September 1948, the serial production began in 1951. Мi-1А was the most wide-spread ambulance helicopter in the Soviet Union. In 1954 to order of the Soviet Army thе ambulance helicopter Mi-3 was built on the base of Мi-1А. The new version had four-blade basic propeller, an altered cockpit and a suspended gondola for transportation of the wounded.
