The twin-engine training aircraft Yak-200 was built in March 1953. Factory tests were completed in July 1953, after which the prototype was transferred to Soviet Air Force National flight test Center. After the aircraft test flights, during which a lot of disadvantages have been found, the plane has been returned to the Design Bureau, where was undertaken further construction enhancement. Four months since the fight test of Yak-200 has begun, a special version for navigator training, named Yak-210, was built. The new aircraft received additional equipment in the navigator`s compartment, such as PSBN-M radar sight and AFA-BA-40 camera. Both Yak-200 and Yak-210 airplanes haven`t entered into serial production, as the Soviet Air Force preference was given to the llyushin II-28U.
